OUR STORY

Amidst the ravaging Coronavirus global pandemic in March 2022, Project 21 was founded by Avani Goenka. This period saw the boom of education technology and the unprecedented transition from offline to online. Though students from privileged schools were fortunate enough to access online education in these trying times, it was the rural children from humble backgrounds who faced setbacks in their education. Schooling seemed like a distant dream and the lack of access and knowledge about technology made them helpless. It was then that Project 21 came to their rescue and provided them with online education. We collaborated with various organizations and trained their children in digital literacy, artificial intelligence, and coding. Many of these children then transitioned to online learning from various sources and continued to receive an education. The relevance of technical knowledge in the 21st Century and the disparity in access to technology have always been prevalent but were reinforced by the pandemic.
